When I started iSqFt.com in 1999 I had a vision of making it easier for construction industry professionals to share and distribute blueprints in digital form, thereby saving the cost and inefficiencies of printing paper blueprints. Today iSqFt.com has tens of thousands of customers that find more work, at a lower cost than ever before as a result of that original vision.

As a result of this paradigm shift away from the printing of paper plans many subcontractors and suppliers find themselves burdened with the cost of printing paper plans for estimating purposes. It was with this knowledge in mind that I left the day to day operations of iSqFt.com in 1997 to start To-Scale Software, LLC. My goal here has been to help subcontractors and suppliers to see digital blueprint files as a benefit instead of as a financial burden.

Cloud Takeoff is the result of more than three years of development and brings together the very latest in web technologies to deliver a powerful yet surprisingly easy to use solution which we believe will transform the way the construction industry works, estimates and collaborates. It is our mission to continue to improve and to infuse the Cloud Takeoff with additional sources of real time data for the benefit of all industry participants.

Thanks for the great product and the continued improvements, I’m just learning my way around and find the software easy to understand and really useful. We’re a small concrete subcontractor around the 8 to 10 million a year w/ 50 + employees and I have not found a system that worked for me (Kind of old school I guess) but this really is a helpful tool. You can be sure that I will be talking up the product to my peers at ASCC for the W.O.C. this year.
